Or should I just get thaat gtx 660? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125443

Ti is a lot more powerful. Also look at the 448 core version if you can find it. The non ti version I think has a smaller bus and some other parts disabled I think.

But I'm with the suggestion above. An hd 7870 would be an excellent and affordable choice. Or the 660.

Just set a price that you want to spend and we can find the best card for the amount of money. Earlier you said around $200. If your limit is $150ish, get a 560 or 7850.

And I'm assuming all of this will fit inside that case. I've seen full cases and small cases never seen a medium before. Seems ideal.

If you're okay with used GPUs you could always check the OCN marketplace for a smokin' deal on a GTX 580 ($200-$210) and that would be a nice upgrade. Hell, maybe even look for a taken care of 6950/6970 or like others have said a 448 Ti or a 570. Or just get the current gen of GPU's. tongue.gif

One last question, do I need to just go ahead and get a new harddrive and cd/dvd drive? or should everything transfer over to the new case and new stuff just fine?
Optical and Hard drives can just be moved over.
The hard drive with the Operating system will need to go through updates though to get everything set up.
Win7 is pretty easy to move over. After backing up your old drive just move over all the hardware, boot up, do a "in place upgrade" reboot and should be good.
Previous OS's I just recommend a new install.

I moved my setup from a LGA 775 setup to my 1155 setup AND from a HD to an SSD basically the way I just described and running great!

So if I was looking for get a new hard drive and cd/dvd drive is there anything special I need to look for? I would really like a ssd but I'm really on a budget and I've already spent a decent amount. Unless I can get a good ssd with cd drive for around 100$ I think I'll have to go with a regular hard drive. Any suggestions? And if I were to make the switch to a new hard drive I should just buy a new copy of windows 7 as well? Or back up everything and reinstall on the new one. Sorry for my lack of expertise!

Check out Sean's guides.
I used them for my SSD setup and migration. You can easily "move" your current install to a newer / bigger Hard drive without having to re-install EVERYTHING tongue.gif

He is very helpful and way more understanding on how things work when they don't than me smile.gif
Overall it took some time but was easy and painless.

You shouldn't need a new Win7 if your moving to a newer machine, ie: running 1.
