Also keep in mind that FLAC is probably not the best choice for mobile devices. You want Ogg Vorbis or AAC due to much smaller file sizes while still maintaining better quality than MP3 (not as good as FLAC, which is lossless, but phone's don't have good enough DACs for it to really matter).
idk I lessen to anything country rock rap. Idk I think I might just stick with Google plays music it's easier to do and they sell gift cards for it. My mom doesn't let me use her credit card online unless I'm buying something for my computer or truck. If there was a way to get them for free or use gift cards I'd probably do it and I have a micro sd so space doesn't matter. Also I don't even know if my headphones are good enough to hear a difference (klipsch s4a) or my trucks Polk audio system

probably around my birthday I'll get a sd card and buy some flac songs. But do you really think it's worth it? I mean I don't got a crazy sound setup just some klipsch s4a and Polk audio sound system in my truck. I also I listen to a lot of rap and I didn't see much on some of those stores like hd tracks?

Personally, I don't see any reason to ever use MP3 any more unless you already own something in MP3 form or you simply can't get it in another format.

It just doesn't have any advantages compared to modern formats which can be either smaller (thus you can fit more songs on your SD) or higher quality (thus sound better), or both.

I also wouldn't rely entirely on cloud storage or streaming, as that only works when you have a reliable internet connection.

At any rate, that's all been said before countless times in this thread alone. Your choice man.

do you know any good 64 gig micro sd's ? price dont matter to much. also is your music flac or a step under? i dont know what type of music i should buy because there are other things over 320kbps. And do you know a good sit for rap hiphop, and like country?

As it turns out, the only types of music that I don't listen to are rap, hiphop, and country. Granted, that is a gross over-generalization and I do listen to some songs of even those genres, but you get the point. I'm also not too keen on Jazz, but it's a cut above the previously mentioned three in my personal hierarchy.

At any rate, I have about half my portable library in FLAC, a quarter in MP3, and another quarter split between AAC, OGGVorbis, and Midi (don't shoot me).

The Midi and MP3 are relics of a bygone time.
FLAC just I was I was in a rush when transferring music from my PC to my phone and didn't have time to convert it first.

Were I to re-acquire all my music now in 2013? I'd get it all in FLAC for my PC and then convert it to AAC or OGG Vorbis for my phone.

As for SD cards, it's the class rating that really matters. You want a minimum of Class 8 if you want your phone to be able to finish scanning your library upon bootup before battery power runs out (extreme hyperbole, but you get the point). Reputable brands don't hurt.

I'm, personally using one of these I got on sale about a year ago (buy one get one free or something like that). They're kinda pricey at normal pricing though. Samsung class 10s are just as good and corsair, kingston and adata aren't too bad either. I'd grab the cheapest one among that lot you can find above a class 8.
