Awesome! I just finished enough of The Witcher 2 to convince myself in time that I'm never gonna buy this.
I'm also wondering how they're going to fit an entire keyboard's worth of excessive controls onto a DualShock 4. Use the touchpad for half the actions, maybe?

Might awell say you have to read the books first as well.
While witcher 1 and 2 had some connection depending on what you chooce in the first game it wasn't a real requirement to play the first.
Considering the subject of the new one you can fit the plot stuff of 2 in maybe 5minute cutscene anyway.

the first one is THAT important , its the intro of the series , but they didnt talked about Yennefer or the Wild Hunt alot like the 2 , the 1 for me was like a "big quest" that at the last boss , leaves you with a huge twist" ... The Witcher 2 unfolds that twist

what happends when the witcher died in that riot , who revived yennefer and geralt and why geralt lost his memory and yennefer is alive somewhere in the Nilfgaardian Empire

... for me , The Witcher 2 had more "story" than the 1

The Witcher 2 is already on consoles. It was released for the XBox 360.

 

And there's nothing silly about it. After the success of The Witcher 2 on console they're releasing the game to an even bigger audience, which equals more money, which equals better games from them in the future.

Well the Xbox 360 version didn't compromise the quality of the PC version and it's pretty clear they had a console version in mind when they developed it. The quality of the XBox 360 version is actually pretty high aswell. Not as outstanding as the PC version, but certainly not a bad looking game by any means.
