I was going to try to purchase two titans but i think i am just going to wait for the GTX 780's, i mean the 680's came out almost a year ago and its time for me to upgrade my 580 lightnings to 780's smile.gif

I sure hope the GTX7xx cards show up the next 3-4 months, although i am not optimistic...
I just bought an EVGA GTX 670 FTW 4GB one month ago. I am wondering about the viability of that card, due to the recent Titan release and the incoming 700 series announced...

Should i ;

- Buy another 670 4GB to put two in SLI, and be ready for waiting the serie 8 (Maxwell)
- Sell my 670 when serie 7 will be getting out, and then buy one 780, and buy another 780 in the year after, being ready for serie 8 Maxwell
- Idk ?

What would you do ? rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif I am still thinking my 670 kicks ass, and will continue to do so for the next years.... Say what you think biggrin.gif

ooh, I have to sit back and give this some thought.. tongue.gif

question:
what resolution because the 4GB can be looked as as future-proofing but how long are you gonna keep them.?

so another one for SLi is stronger than a single Titan of course, wait for a sale or private transaction and get a good price.
get another for SLi and then sell when the GTX 780's and so on are being released.

I'm still gong Maxwell when it is released as well no matter if I still have my GTX 660 Ti and in-coming GTX 780's.
I have more than one rig.

^^ From what I've seen, 4 GB is really only helpful for muli-monitor gaming. Not even a 30" single monitor really takes advantage of the extra legroom. I'm planning on waiting a few months after the 780 drops to replace my 680's....give it a chance for the price to settle and ebay vultures to die.

4...
Go 2 way sli or 3 way at most 4 scales in only like 3 games and gives negative scaling in the rest.

I'm only ever going SLi (x2) personally, I should never have a need for more.
it's not that serious to me anymore.
fun still yes.!!

as to the 4GB vs 2GB I should have been more specific.
it's a form of future-proofing with the extra VRAM but I did have in mind TMR (triple monitor resolutions).
so on that I agree..

I disagree. on my 27" monitor Crysis 3 is using every drop of my 2GB vram. I would love 4GB/6GB right about now thumb.gif

At the moment, i have one 23 inch monitor and one 20 inch monitor. Both 1080. I play only on the 23 inch monitor, but using downsampling to put it in 1440p for gaming biggrin.gif (i love it, so beautiful). For the next two years, i will get a 120hz 3D TV to game on it. Plus, i will try to use XMBC to do Blueray playback. I guess with all these needs, my second GTX 670 4GB (to do 2x SLI) would be benefict. Tho, i do not want to spend 400$ right now, and by the end of the year, spend another 5-6-700 to get the 780.. i will probably just wait until the end of the year, then i will sell my 670 to get one 780... and getting another 780 couple of months after biggrin.gif I am not that rich haha.

Thank for you post. thumb.gif
