Good headphones for Gym

Thread Starter
Well as the title says I'm looking for a pair of headphones that are good for the gym but at the same time has a some good quality, i'm not trying to spend to much money on these pairs like around 50 to 55 bucks. Something to mention these headphones are not for me are for a friend that goes a lot to the gym, he was looking some of them in amazon and he came with this one. I don't know how good they are but I was telling him they were good the use they're going to have. Give me some recommendations and I will appreciate it.

I'm personally looking at getting these for myself in the near future.

http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-UltraFit-500-Headphones/dp/B005JXH1EG/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1361501462&sr=1-8&keywords=polk+headphones+sport

is he wanting over the ear headphones specifically or does he not really care?

perhaps?

Does he really want over the ear? I like the bose in ear for gym I also like my sony in ear noise cancelling because it mutes the outside noise. Other that that my rec usually go to Shure for in ears but price is rocketing after that.

Once he tried a pair of shure he probably wouldn't want to return them.

There are the entrey level into shure.

These are some buy once cry once headphones. I mean $500 and you could still get them custom fitted at the dr. But do a lot of opeople it is worth it.

Try posting this question on the website Head-Fi, it were all the headphone fanatics hang out.
(because of that website, I own 12 headphones).
