I have about 150-170 my dad will give me up to 100 if i need it (im 15) but i dont want too if i dont have too, so i dont have enough to purchase another 670 right now but say around holiday season i will, so should i just a nice monitor now. particularly the one MLG used its and its a 23 inch asus with a 2ms gtg and im the U.S.

I'm running GTX 670 FTW 2gbs in SLI. They're using the 680 PCB so any GTX 680 waterblock will fit on these particular models. I'm also running a 1080p monitor, and maxing everything with zero issues is fantastic!

But in reality I would say 7950/7970 is the best bang for your buck. AMDs price for performance has been kicking Nvidias butt as of late.
LOL so true. I've been hearing people rave on about AMD outperforming Intel in Crysis 3 CPU-wise. The 7970 are very cheap

Hmmm $170 is not much to work with. If the prices in the US are anything like here in AUS, you wont achieve much more than the 670. I would suggest either:

1. saving your cash and waiting for your second 670
2. Upgrading your RAM and CPU ($35 more for 16GB RAM and about $90 more for the i7 CPU mid range) so that when the time comes for the SLI setup at least your PC is a bit more formidable (even though its going to take you longer to save for the 670)
3. giving up on the SLI and going for the 680 since its only about 130 bucks more expensive, then you can SLI them bad boys.

As for the monitor that's completely your call, if YOU'RE not happy with your current one then upgrade. Its hard when you have money restrictions lol I remember those days biggrin.gif

Check out the Powercolor 7870 Myst. It's a crippled Tahiti core rebadged as a 7870. It's only $240 on newegg, and it'll easily OC to 7950 range and possibly higher. Can't beat it for the price thumb.gif
