There's a pretty nice mobo on newegg that's open box, not sure if it's worth the risk of purchasing?

Newegg has a fairly reasonable Open Box return policy. If you quickly install and stress test the motherboard upon receipt then you can determine if the board is good or not. In the past, I've had good luck ordering Newegg Open Box CPUs, DVD Drives, and HDDs. Just remember, if it's bad, Newegg must possess it within 30 days of the invoice.

I've had good luck with OB items from Newegg. Never had a dud, always been complete, just never came with the original packaging. 2 motherboards, and a few GPU's. Awesome price, for missing the original box. tongue.gif

You may or may not get a manufacturer's box with a UPC. However, you are able to RMA via Newegg. It's the 30 day refund policy I described earlier.

But if it does come with a UPC it would be available for a ASRock warranty..?

I believe they go off serial numbers for warranties. I would call ASRock or even check their website to be 100% sure before purchasing so that way if it does indeed crap out after 30 days you're covered.
