Most trusted customer service with RMA stories?

Thread Starter
I'm in the market for a new GPU, leaning towards 7950/7970 or a 670.

What is everyones experience with customer service on different brands in relation to RMAs?
I was leaning towards the asus directCU II, but i understand they have extremely bad/risky customer service.
I was also looking at both EVGA, and XFX

Does it make any difference if i'm located in Canada?

if your going with an nVidia card, EVGA for their excellent customer service. i hear nothing good about them.
Gigabyte have always been good to me tho mot on your list. Every so often you hear horror stories about Asus but i am sure people have good experences with them too. As to the asus directCU II card, even tho i have one its not a card i would recomend atleast in the AMD side, alot of cooling issues tho can be fixed with remounting but even then its 50/50. plus its a monster lol

Sapphire and Gigabyte cards for the AMD side is what i hear good things about with thier cards.

Fixed

I've only RMA'd with Evga & MSI.
Evga has great customer service & RMA. Keep you up to date with what is going on, & were pretty quick.
With MSI I got the card back faster, but the RMA depot is just in Richmond (handy for us in the lower mainland). They don't update the status as nicely as Evga does, but I got a working card back faster so can't say much.

I've only ever owned two EVGA products, but both times I got the absolute best customer service I had ever experienced in my life. I'd feel extremely safe purchasing an EVGA product knowing that my RMA would go silky smooth. They have an 24HR E-mail service where their support generally gets back to you within 30 minutes and settings up an RMA is absolutely a breeze. I would say they have the most lay back RMA policy ever. They're based out of Brea, California.

I've never had to send back an XFX product, but back when they had their double lifetime warranty and mod-friendly warranty I felt safe with them. Now I just tend to stick with brands I like. If you order from somewhere like Newegg, they provide pay-free return solutions if you run into any defects within 30 days. I've never had a single problem with Neweggs return system. In fact I recently returned an item and I got my money back into my PayPal account within 5 days of shipping the item off.

This makes a good thread. Interesting to hear it straight from the horses mouth. Besides RMA, I always go for the longer warranty when buying!

Thinking hopefully, if they give that amount of years then the product must be good! biggrin.gif

So yes - lets hear some more stories.

Hmm.. I guess the gpu cs is a lot better than the mobo side? Going Asus for their horror stories scare me. I've read on ocn where someone had an rma finished within 7 months with gigabyte.

If I go nvidia I'm 100% going evga.

How are companies like galaxy, powercolor, zotac, diamond, and PNY?

It's cool to see others opinions, any negative rma s?
