Corsair XMS3 and Corsair XMS3 Vengeance

Thread Starter
I just purchased an extra 8gb of ram and realised I've ordered the wrong ones (well sort of)

I currently have "Corsair XMS3 - Vengeance" installed and the ram I purchased is "Corsair XMS3".

They both have the same stats

- 1600MHz
- 9-9-9-24 latency
- 1.5v

Do you think I'll have any issues running them together??

Perhaps, but it likely could work. It would be good to have exact model numbers for both models of RAM that you currently have so that we can give a more accurate answer.

I think it will work. If you do run into problems, try dialing back the speed to DDR3-1333 or loosening the timings to 10-10-10-30.

Ok cool I'll give it ago.

If you don't hear from me in 24 hours then the computer has exploded, burnt the house down and I'm dead. thumb.gif
