I7-870 Stable, memory issue

ASUS P7P55D-E LX, P55, Socket-1156
Intel Core i7 Quad Processor i7-870
Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1333MHz 8GB
Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler

Currently i'am running the CPU @ 3.81Ghz, 173 BCLK, CPU Ratio 22.0 and it's stable, idle 28-30C, max load 59-61C. I'am looking for a good, stable, build with low temps. The setup is stable with my memory clocked down to 1041Mhz on auto, but when i clock it manually up to 1384Mhz the system crashes after 5min of testing with Blend in Prime95. So my question is what should i adjust now to get it stable again ? Or if you got any other advice on a better O.C just say it smile.gif

BSOD after 5min, memory dump stops at 55

CPU Ratio Setting - 22.0
BCLK - 173
DRAM - DDR3-1384Mhz
QPI - Auto (according to CPUZ QPI Link is 3124.27Mhz)

Memory timings set manual then the timeings are 9 10 10 25 at 1384Mhz Clock
When memory is set to auto with clock 1041Mhz the timeings are 6 7 7 19

Differential Amplitude - Auto
Clock Skew - Auto
CPU Voltage Mode - Manual
VCore - 1.29375v
IMC - 1.30v
DRAM - 1.64v
PLL - Auto
PCH - Auto
DRAM Data REF Voltage on CHA - Auto
DRAM Data REF Voltage on CHB - Auto

C1E - Enable
Speedstep - Enable
LLC - Enable
Spread Spectrum - Disable

Hey man

Well, the reason your system is crashing is because of the increased load on your CPU and the IMC.

Now, what I would try first would be to bump your BCLK to 200, change your multiplier to 19 and then set your memory at 1600 @ 9-9-9-24

There isn't any reason why that memory shouldn't be able to hit those timings and speed. You may find that the higher BCLK over the higher multiplier helps with stability as well biggrin.gif

Did as you said and needed to bump up the Vcore to 1.3v, feels stable so going to run some tests on this smile.gif
