So who is the best? (Looking for top overclocks)

Thread Starter
I have looked searched, and looked again and cannot find a list of the top over clocks.

I am looking for the fastest someone has gone as well as the highest overclock percentage (OC/stock).

I guess to be specific, I want the top speeds for home enthusiasts. Not people with unlimited wealth, resources, time, slash its their job. And then I'd like to see what those people can do.

Any ideas of the numbers if no direct list?

I figure top for
home enthusiast: Fastest ~~8.5Ghz? Top 200%
College/Company: Fastest ~~1gazibillion Ghz? Top Crapload%

Sorry, maybe didn't understand your question. Are you looking for averages or for top overclocks?

Both, I want to see the world records. And also just get a range/limits.

Also, I want to know specifically about the 3570K.

But just curious overall smile.gif

For the 3570k I'd say 4.2- 4.4GHz is a reasonable expectation.

EDIT: Really like your mousepad btw biggrin.gif

So what about an extreme OC on a 3570K, any ideas on what one had been pushed too?

4.7GHz for 3570k is the validated World Record on air.

4.8GHz on H2O.

5.5GHz Cascade.

6.1GHz on LN2.

is that kinda low for a 3570k? Ive been debating about getting one and if thats the highest theyll clock i might just say PASS.....So I can forget about hitting 5ghz on high end air on a 3570k?

I wouldn't say forget about it, but if you did you'd have broken the world record.

EDIT: Actually I'm gonna take that back as I am not 100% sure what the world record exactly is. I should say those #'s are the highest clocks I have been able to find. (source)
