Looks pretty solid to me. Only thing I would suggest is grabbing an aftermarket cooler if you want to do any OCing on the CPU. Even a $30 Cooler Master Hyper 212+ would give you enough headroom for a pretty descent OC thumb.gif

The reason I chose the 8350 was the base clock of 4.0GHz, didn't think overclocking would be necessary, but I will look into it, thanks

If you are not going to oc then get a cheaper mobo like AsRock 970 Extreme3 or AsRock 970 Extreme4.

Exactly. I guess I just assumed you were wanting to OC since you went with a 990FX mobo.

the 8350 is super easy to OC to 4.5Ghz with even a $25 cooler, so why not, main thing is just have a solid PS. I highly recommend anything seasonic.

I've used both the ASRock 970 extreme 3 & 4, DID upgrade to a ASRock 990fx extreme9, All great boards, but folks do complain the 970's are "thin" but no one seems to have any issues with them. (I've got friends with a few of them, all happy). Can't complain much about the price either redface.gif

Alrighty, grabbed a cooler for the CPU and will see how high I can get it.

While we're on the subject, how high do you guys think I could OC the 7970 without any extra cooling?
