[guru3D] Crysis 3 Benchmarks Review (22 Video Cards Tested) - Page 12

Bf3 doesnt wow in motion either

What games are actually good on pc right now? And out of those which of them feature amazing gpu melting graphics?

I disagree and this game really does look THAT good! Getting this game averaging around 60FPS gives you a 'GOOD' gameplay experience with very high settings...
Crysis 3 has the open environments and I literally walk around looking at the graphics more than the gameplay. I see it worth purchasing as a technical benchmark alone...

I always thought Crysis 1 would be hard to beat, but this did set the new benchmark... All 12 of my threads are being used also...
To give an idea (for those who cannot max graphics or don't feel like purchasing this game), here is a 1GB WMV file running at 60FPS... very high 1080p w/ fxaa... fraps recording.
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_EOuDeOnDcoV3FfT2hDZzlFcGc/edit?usp=sharing

please do not play it through the video player (youtube compression) and download it before watching...

I think you need to put Crysis 1 back in and see how much has changed. Crysis 1 had nice vistas....that's about it

Don't get me wrong it's not that c1 is artisticsally better its just I like my textures good even up close

On warhead you can pistol zoom on ice and you get transparency, reflection, bumps on thousands of ice beads that all change as you move around very crisply, on modern crysis you get a semi decent texture with some light speckles

I know its not overal as smart as c3 but in the details is where c1 n warhead shine

i'd say Textures in Crysis 1 were 30% amazing with 70% meh textures. Back then it was the lightning/scale that brought it all together.
Obviously not ever texture is perfect, but Crysis 3 does have some very purdy textures with some great mix of their shading/tessellation mix. Then you have Psycho who looks great visually.

EDIT: In no way am I discrediting Crysis 1. Of course it still looks amazing.

Not to mention the fact that C1 water still looks one of the best, hard to understand how they did that without tessellation smile.gif. Its good that we now have something that does live up to the name of the original crysis. Although I do like the original game play and the weapons better.

Just wait for Maldo's texture pack for crysis 3.

Xbox 360's remake of the old farcry had great water.....

I hate all these games with water that does nothing when you shoot it except for add a little ripple shade over it. Even Halo 3/4/reach had better water reaction than crysis

running this game at 2560x1440 @ 120hz is tough! Looks beautiful though, best looking game I think I have played.
