I am looking to replace my h80i as its WAY to noisy and going with the AIR option, what is the ABSOLUTE BEST AND MOST quiet CPU fan/heatsink? has anyone tried the NoFan CR-100A??? Is that even good? http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm

You forgot the silver arrow SB-E. It is an overclocking machine. At 5ghz, 1.48V, 11*C ambient, Intel burn test. Max temp 47*C, avg about 43*C. biggrin.gif

The "best" quietest would probably have to be this cooler.

Have you tried just swapping out the H80 fan? It's pretty noisy, you could use a much quieter one, or even just slow the stock one down to reduce noise. Would save some cash if you're not dead set on air cooling.

yeah i have been playing with the corsair link 2 and it has nice features WHEN it works, on restart i have to open my CASE and replug it back in the mobo for it to recognize everything, NO IDEA why. The problem with changing the fans out, is it needs to be high pressure fans to get thru the rad. I have looked at so many different fans, I MEAN so many different ones. Noctua since the RPM is very low max 1500 it is about 2-3 degrees hotter then the stock fans. The CFM is actually better on the stock fans but they ARE OBNOXIOUS at full speed. Yes I changed it, but then I dont know what the core temp of the h80i should be. it flucuates between 31-37 degrees, no where on their site does it even say a good amount. i purchased cougars but again the high pressure isnt anywhere as close as the stock fans. This one is nice, http://www.corsair.com/en/cpu-cooling-kits/air-series-fans/air-series-sp120-high-performance-edition-high-static-pressure-120mm-fan.html but its not as good as the stock one at http://www.corsair.com/us/hydro-series-h80i-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler.html

I swapped out the fans on my H80 (not the i version) and it works just fine. Try using a push/pull setup with some silent fans, should get better temps than the stock fan with WAY less noise. Two silent fans should be better than the stock fan, in performance and noise. I honestly wouldn't worry much about pressure either, I would just buy whatever silent-ish fans you like. I used to use Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000s in everything, but they really didn't add much to my rigs except a ton of noise. Also, I just stay away from using the Corsair link thing and just plug fans directly into motherboard headers, or the molex with adapter. You could just pick up some cheap 7V adapters if you don't want to control fan speed with your motherboard.

well i do have a fan control on the top of my 600t so that isnt an issue AT ALL! I could always do that, I just figured why not use the corsair link with them since it is a nice piece of softrware IF YOU CAN GET IT TO WORK properly. It came with 2 fans and i have them with the arrows POINTING out of the case, thats push pull yes?

Yeah, that's a push/pull setup. I totally forgot the H80i comes with two fans...that makes thing a bit more complicated. You might actually lose a couple of degrees with quieter fans, but honestly, I would say it would be barely noticeable. I would either try controlling the speed of the stock fans then, and if that doesn't quite bring it down to a tolerable level, go with a couple lesser fans. I'm sure it will still perform at least on par with the best of the air solutions you would be looking at. Also, not sure which way the arrows are supposed to point, but you'll get slightly better temps if you run them as intake, aka sucking air into the case.
