Looking to upgrade my display to 27-30" 2560xXXXX - Page 3

Reviving an old thread.

Finally got around to selling enough of my old PC parts on ebay to fund my new monitor. Currently sitting without a monitor, but RDP does what I need for the time being.

Been looking at some of the things I would use the monitor for and simply put I want a great quality monitor but I had an epiphany sitting there at a monitorless desk.

I want to connect my 360 to it. Since I use the PS3 for a media server and game on the big screen with it. My poor 360 hasnt been getting much attention cept for the son wanting to grab at it, heh.

Was looking at some of the monitors suggested in this thread and others and I really liked the QNIX Evo II DPort/HDMI for two reasons. 1) I can connect it via HDMI to my 360 and have some sound via the built in speakers 2) I dont have to sacrifice DVI-D.

Doesnt break the bank as I have enough for it as is sitting in paypal from ebay sales. Gives me the matte screen, 1440p resolution, decent ratings, can overclock to 120 and its technically a Samsung PLS.

Thoughts?

the korean monitors with multiple inputs barely overclock, if at all, from what i've read on this forum. if you can ignore that, go for it since it seems perfect for your situation. and if you can stand the stock colors out of the box when switching to HDMI for your game console since there is no OSD to change colors.

but first you'd better ask the seller if the monitor has a scaler via HDMI for game consoles.
