Thread Starter
I have a MSI 660 TI Power Edition and i use EVGA Precision for my fan Profile, here is a pic of stock at the moment.

Now ive never oced my gpu cause im scared that it might get to hot, and majority of the time my room can get pretty hot but i dont know if its really worth it, tell me your opinions.

I manly wanna do it for crysis 3 although im probably gonna end up going SLI sooner then later.

hey man

i got the MSI GTX 660 Oc

and if your room gets too hot.. id suggest not to oc your gfx card or get more cooling for your case and play around with your oc settings

advice from a fellow aussie
( i know how hot can an aussie summer get)

PS. if you are going to oc only by like 100mhz you'll only see a tiny bit of temperature bump.

I'm running two MSI 660tis. Using MSI afterburner I have +100 mhz on the cores. And +400 on the memory for both cards. I can't get them stable over that.
I also have all of the voltage options up to the maximum but with a user defined fan curve. The fans max out at about 50% which can be loud. But it keeps the temps under 70c.

What version of AB are you using cause 2.2.3 is only version that core voltage works, anything above that version needs edited config file for voltage to work .
If you read all reviewers that used AB to raise voltage, you will notice there all 2.2.3 .
Nvidia force MSI AB to disable the slider in newer versions .

I'm using 2.3.1 and the voltage stays where I put it. Any newer versions do exactly as you say.

No, if you have MSI 660ti PE/OC with triple voltage , it is not working in 2.3.1 .

yes slider will move at stay but your voltage or power usage didn't go up with the slider . here is way to check as the voltage youe see in AB or GPU-Z is not total voltage with these cards (they have a second voltage regulator that is used to add voltage (what you set with slider) .

Now but slider to 0 , have GPU-Z or AB up and watch the power % TDP , run a bench mark that is repeatable like Heven or valley works good . note power usage at few places. then max slider and rerun .

You will notice with 2.3.1 nothing changed , if you try 2.2.3 older version you power % goes up 10wats or so with slider .

Now you can get voltage slider to work even with 2.3.1 or later AB by editing your config profile . go to MSI AB folder, look for profile subfolder then open the file with name starts with " Ven_10.............

add these lines in the settings
[Settings]
VDDC_Generic_Detection = 0
VDDC_uP6262_Detection = 4:30h
VDDC_uP6262_R1 = 1000

This only works for MSI 660ti PE versions
