That has got to be the most general OC question I've ever seen!

First of all, welcome to the forums! 2ndly, X2 prices are kind of cheap right now anyways but thats ok, they'll go down more.

To move on with your actual question. You have a good setup going there, I like your choice of cooling!

But the first thing you can do to push your rig a little bit is increase the FSB little by little, maybe in 10Mhz steps in your BIOS. Boot to windows, see if you're stable...

It's a very involved process thats more of a "learn as you go" experience than anything else. Yes we are here to help you if you have problems. Not so much as to tell you exactly what to do, but we can help keep you inside the lines.

If you have specific questions, ask. What I suggest you do right now is learn. More specifically read the stickies. Use the search button on the forums. Chances are, with 30k members, someone has already asked your question at some point! lol

If you read some Faq's, get a handle on it, but run into some trouble, well you'll know where to find us!

Looks like you hit the nail on the head! OCing is a very "DYI" type of hobby. There is really no "guide" to follow, but more general suggestions that we can give you. Check out the FAQs and just ask questions if need be!
