i really like this tressfx it's so damn nice beside it give lara more emotion in some cut scene :d so it's definitely something to be turn on if u have a good gpu , I'm really so happy to play this game with my HD 7950 oc 1230/1700 never drop under 32 fps (40 -50 -70 average fps in different places ) using the max out setting + FXAA for more than 1H of game play , so that's a good thing in my opinion to have a new features like this that feed Ur eyes biggrin.gif and also add more emotion to the character smile.gif , also lol I've tried to turn this option off but naaah man i can't play it like that it's just impossible for me to play it with that **** hair biggrin.gif so yeah GG both of AMD and Crystal Dynamics for the good work

It's a regional unlock. If it's the 5th in your country (and it is already the 5th in aussie land) it is unlocked.

Wow used the VPN to unlock it and the game looks amazing on max setting.
Only problem I only get 20-50fps in the stress test lol.

So have had to drop to high with normal texture quality.
TressFX only dropped frame rate 10 on average on my 6850 CF but I have noticed its kind of buggy when you get up close rendering. Only show about 20 strands of hair lol and they flicker.
Especially with high precision on.

But from normal viewing distance and cut scenes looks good.

I hope my 7950 CF can max the game with 60fps(My second card comes in Tues or Weds WOO!).

You should be good I have CF7950's. I have everything maxed with FXAA and run at 60FPS.

Mine are clocked at 1175/1500

As expected it seems to be a bit of a perfomance hog even on my 7970. The inbuilt benchmark really shows the weaknessess of the implementation, with hair magically flowing inches above her shoulders and spazzing in the wind. In normal gameplay it looks good enough though if you don't start nitpicking. The biggest problem is though that it's always silky smooth and doesn't really get wet and grimy like the rest of Lara.
