If the block is tight and its a smooth surface with no pits its gona squeez out no matter how much. It all depends on how tight. I tighten it alot and use the squeezing action of the block to spread it for me. I only use a dot of the stuff and I mean when I see it squeez out, I mean barly see it. After I can just barly see it I back it off and loosen it just a little.

It works for me. I mean my temps are low for the kinda ambient I have.

I was just pointing out having to much can't help ether.. thats all.

To help cool your reserator, you can go with this. I'm in the process of removing my Zalman setup right now and replacing it with a customer setup and I had that fan ontop of my reserator. I know the heat you're talking about and that took care of it.

That’s what I would do if I had one. Although I would take that idea and use a delta on the end. Then run a clear plastic pipe all the way down it to flow air all the way to the end. The speed of the air would carry quickly and I'd imagine would work allot better, if you can tolerate a delta's noise.

I know you can make it look professional if you know how to use acrylic

Does that fan actually keep it cool?

Yeah its probably better than anything, but like I said I'd build my own crazy OCN version of that and use a delta, sunon or something else super strong over 110cfm and some acrylic.
