I'd say I'm somewhere in the 80% stage about now. Biggish update (for me at least).
SO. I wanted to rearrange my loop some, and move my GPU down a slot. That of course requires bleeding the loop. This is where I was at before:
This is my ghetto bleed station:
Aaaaand here's the loop configuration I came up with. I think it looks kinda neat, almost like a closed loop cooler. Oh yeah I also added another 120mm fan exhausting out the back. That 560ti runs HOT and it was cooking my motherboard.
Then came mounting the SSD up there near the 5.25" bays.
Than I took her outside for a quick photoshoot for you guys.
This pic sort of shows the dremel work I had to do up on the 5.25" bay area. In order to get the sata power cord to the SSD, I had to cut a little and bend a piece back. My stupid shaky hands slipped when I was pulling the last grinder out at the very end and it left a blemish to the right of the SSD
I filled it in with sharpie ha
This is where I'm at now:
Things to do still:
- Buy EVGA 660ti Signature 2 (not til June methinks)
- Make some new GPU cables
- Sleeve said cables
- Possibly sleeve the loop tubes (I'm leaning away from that, though)
- Tune the OC
Currently I've got it overclocked to 4.2Ghz with all the fans on their lowest settings and the pump on 2/5. It's 73oF (22.8oC) in my apartment and the CPU temp is right under 83oF (28.3oC) while idling.
I'm ok with this deltaT, really. I don't stress this machine very much (though I will crank everything up for benchmarks once I get the new GPU).
So there she is, and there she'll be til June I bet. My phone fell apart finally, and the Lumia 928 is gonna be on shelves this Thursday, so I'mma not buy the 660ti this month most likely.Edited by Seredin - 5/12/13 at 10:40am
