That XSPC Resevior and Pump suits the front of your case! Very clean and space efficient design. I like it!

Yeah! I took a small risk with it, as I wasn't convinced it would look perfect. There's nothing worse than being just a little bit off in my mind: like one tile being off-set in a whole kitchen, or seeing a faintly incorrect shade of touch-up paint on a wall mad.gif

But it worked out nicely! I'm thinking of trying to stain or dye the front sightglass grey and put a white LED or something behind it. That could make the water level visible, and fit in with the theme. Maybe. Sounds more artsy craftsy than maybe I have the talent for tongue.gif

OH BOY UPDATES!!

Ladyfriend came down for a visit. She has a good camera and therefore MUST take tons of pictures. But more importantly, I got my motherboard and processor in the mail. Hype!

Warning: there will be lots of unnecessary pictures; way more than I would ever take, and I am pretty sure I take too many as is. I made them the small size on this page so as not to ruin everyone's display.

I'm not even gonna try to give cute B-MO captions, because there are just too many to stay creative for rolleyes.gif

First, for the disassembly pics (she got bored and started playing with BMO--I left out TONS of silly B-MO pics ha)

Next, I figured out where I'm going to put my SSD. This drive has screw holes on the back...AND the top/bottom! So, I'm going to drill some small holes in the top lip, just near the top rubber spacer for the "lid" piece. In the second picture of this little block, you can see where it will be. The drive here is screwed on to the 5.25" drive bay holes, just to show more or less where it will be. But when I add the holes on the lip, it will hang down from the top and be against the lip, so there will be space behind the drive to route the SATA and power cables. I think It should work out nicely. If I have to, I can screw some spacers into the 5.25" bay holes to give some extra z-direction support (the z-axis being into the bay, so the spacers would prevent the drive from being pushed and warping the modded mounting holes.

Man, I can't type succinctly worth a crap.

Ok, so now for the new stuff! Ladyfriend had given up on pretending to be interested in computer mess. So she literally went to play with B-MO, and I took the rest of these. You can tell, because the lighting is horrible and the zooming is always just out of focus thumb.gif

Aaaand, a mockup of where some things will lay when they're in their final positions.

I thought these last two were kind of neat. They give interesting angles and highlight some of the cooler looking components.

Hopefully now you can see some of the color scheming coming out with the parts I have in place. My plan is set everybody up, model the tubing and plan for how much of that I will need, and what angles I'll need for my fittings, Then I'll order what I have left to get, which is the PSU, RAM, MDPC sleeving (I'm thinking 5 parts black, 2 parts gunmetal or dark grey, 1 part white for my sleeves), fittings, tubing (probably matte black if I can find the material I want in that color), tubing sheath (dark metal if I can find it), biocide, silver thread, and DI water.

Thanks for watching! biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Check out Norprene tubing for some nice looking matte black. I love it and its the tubing I would go with if I ever decide to get my feet wet.

Yeah, I was eyeballing that stuff on mcmastercarr. Another option I was considering was the UV resistant PVC or Tygon PVC tubing. It says I have to use barbed fittings for any of those tubes though, be that the case? Compression fittings look a lot cleaner methinks.

Use a fan controller? I've heard the same thing, but loudness doesn't really bother me that much.
