Please help!! Setting up a water cooling loops

post #1 of 6
Thread Starter
Hi gentleman , need some help setting up my water cooling loops ,, I have 2 video cards 1 CPU to be cooled.
I have an I7 3930k 6 core and 2 gtx680 for cooling I have one a black ice 480 rad and 1 120 ,, 2 pumps 655 . And two loops bits power .
My Idea it's Res => pump => 480 rad =>CPU => 120 Rad => Res => Pump => GPUs =>Res
I would like to have one whole set up instead of two separated set ups please advised!!!

you don't need two reservoirs.

Get Custom Dual Pump top...something like this

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_439_773&products_id=28423

But I think pumps will be connected in series maintaining the RES > Pump rule. So it will be more like

Res >> Pump1 >> Pump2 >> Rad >> CPU >>2nd Rad >> GPU>>GPU

Besides It doesnt make any difference where you place the second pump but next to each other is easiest and tidy job. Also for the GPUs you can connect to each other via link or bridge (something like this) for clean install without too much tubing mess.

Two pumps will be installed one next to the other one in basement on that case

yea the order doesn't matter for cooling purposes as the loop will reach its equilibrium except that the res should be before pump..everything else is for aesthetics reason .. your setup is quite right but involves more work n more tubing.
