LG Motion.....Too good to be true??? I think not! Here's my plan......

Hey guys/girls....

Sorry I've been away so long (anyone seen DarkRyder, let him know I posted, I'm text him for input)! Again sorry, life has been tough...to all my BOINC friends, I didn't abandon - I'm trying guys....specool.gif

Anyways...so I pay $90 bucks a month for 3G on an old Motorola Droid Pro..I love the real keyboard, but know it has gone the way of the dinosaur...it will take me a bit to adapt. I will adapt. It has a 1.0 Texas Instrument chip (ARM) that is good minus it's like my old 486dx.......kookoo.gif

So what's important to me....not the bloatware or any of that stuff...I'll crack it within 6 hours of owning, no doubt. I want it MINE...as I see fit for use...and it WILL happen. thumb.gif

Motion has a Snapdragon at 1.2 Duellie...not the best, but it effectively triples my computing power if you count the 4GLTE vs 3G...2 cores, 20% increase computation per core - I got 2 cores now (please warn versus ban for language mods)...RAM on the said phone above was 512 - and I KNEW it wasn't enough forward looking - but I still went ahead knowing I wanted a real keyboard (well the gimped BB version we all know)....they don't really make em any more....sacrifices have to be made.poke.gif

So, I'll use the stupid frigging fake keyboard....but I GAIN:..half inch on the screen. another core, the core is 20% better....and - the RAM is DOUBLE....best of all.....Metro PCS has this machine at $49 bucks after a $50 rebate (and yes, I HATE those:devil: rebates...I'd rather not do it and just suck it up....but I'm so broke I'll go through with it)....point is....I checked ALL the carriers...NO ONE CAME CLOSE HARDWARE-WISE....no one.....I'm doing it with my next check. I will save on average $30 a month - meaning, 2.5 months in...it has paid for itself....anything left over - will save for the quads (which was my original goal)....S4 is coming out as an octomom!.........!@!!!!!!!

So S4 comes out....you think the S3 will drop? Who cares, they gave us the gimped version in the US....so screw it. Other quads that kinda ended up in the US... screw them too.. they were an experiment...not ready for prime time....And lastly, to get the quads down to where we need price-wise (WHAT I WAS REALLY LOOKING FOR)....will take longer than I want....so...this little effer...which gets mad good ratings at $49....I think is a good buy...let it make it's own money now, and then when the quads drop...THEN pull the trigger...

I ain't waiting until Christmas, the Motion offers me all I need for $49.....what say you all?party.gif

It's a midrange device. Being LG you won't get updates quick, but you probably won't get them at all.

RAZR M comes in at $50 on Verizon, and is a FAR superior phone. It's got a 4 inch screen but many people said it was a hidden gem, one of the best devices of 2012. The guts of a RAZR HD minus the bigger screen and resolution.

They're also practically giving away HTC One Xs and One X+s on AT&T. If the screen size is something you want that'll beat the living snot out of anything LG has save for the N4 and Optimus G.

Amazon has Galaxy S3 sales regularly for $50 or so i believe.

Depending on where you live, T-Mobile has HSPA+42, which is actually FASTER than 4G LTE some of the time, but even if you don't have 42, TMO HSPA+ is faster than almost anyone's 3G by a VERY long shot. In addition, depending on how much data you want, choose a prepaid plan from $50/mo to $70 a mo (UNLIMITED!) and cough up $300 upfront for a Nexus 4, and you've got arguably the best phone on the planet for a cheaper monthly rate. Keep in mind, that $300 is the unsubsidized price, most phones unsubsidized are double that or more.

Your choice! I wouldn't pay a dime for a midrange LG. Too many awesome phones you can have for not much more!
