It sucks that your friends lost their jobs and eventually their homes. However rather than blaming pirates why not look at the high level executives that make bank.

I'm not going to pay for a movie when actor's are making MILLIONS per movie.

I'm not going to buy music while record company's are paying their high level executives millions.

I have no problem paying a fair price for a something, but nobody will be getting rich off my hard earned cash. PERIOD.

Also brings up that maybe people should watch who they seek employment from. Why would the high level executive's allow their paychecks to be cut or hindered when they can just eliminate lesser jobs.

Well my old ISP would throttle me when I was downloading games from Steam. I only downloaded 24 GB and they slowed me down to 56K speeds. I phoned them and they accused me of piracy which is why they slowed me down.

They are claiming lost profits and record piracy while at the same time claiming they are making record profits. Most of the money goes to the higher up people while the devs get closed down to try and convince piracy is causing it. Especially in the music and movie industry, they are claiming they are getting the highest profits on record while the major CGI companies (I can't remember which one) had to closed down recently due to bankruptcy. They were the same company that worked on movies such as Avatar which according to this grossed $2,782,275,172 world wide. There are many other movies that used the same company.

Sure, go to amazon.com and buy a CD.

Amazing way to not answer the question. Yes you can buy a digital CD from Amazon but not FLAC, Lossy or anything else. Just MP3's of horrible crap quality.

Same with movies, There are no legal sales of full HD 1080p content in a digital file yet.

They sell MP3s of low bitrate, How do you get the FLAC files?

There are a FEW vendors who will sell you a legal FLAC file but selection is crap and price's are higher than they should be.

Buy the MP3 then download the FLAC file from a different source or buy the CD and rip to FLAC.

Purchase the Bluray then rip the file onto your hard disk for backup or watch Netflix.

Gives you the convenience of digital content and supports the companies.

There are no decent vendor's or FLAC files.

Ripping CD's and Bluray's is also illegal,

So nobody has still answered the simple question.

Where can somone LEGALLY buy FLAC or other High Quality Music IN DIGITAL FORMAT or BLU-RAY's in DIGITAL FORMAT legally.

Its amazing how many people are suggesting illegal ways of obtaining media and passing them off as legal.

I never said it was technically "legal".

But if your having trouble downloading a FLAC of the MP3 you already bought or a lesser quality 1080p copy of a Bluray disk you have (or ripping what you already payed for) then there isn't a solution for you.

Those ARE the solutions.

If you bought the song, you bought the damn song. Just you want a higher quality version isn't illegal in my books.
If you bought the movie, then you own the damn movie. Saving a copy, for backup and instant watch (not uploading it obviously), to your hard disk is not a crime in my books.
