Test settings:
5760x1080 - Very High - All Max

The 690 resulted in the game crashing so it couldn't complete the test, obviously if it didn't crash it would/should be higher than the TITAN provided the drivers were optimized for SLI.

The 680 and 7970 didn't have enough grunt and managed 1FPS
The TITAN managed 14fps as it's almost as good as the 690, but it's not reliant on SLI profiles as it's a single GPU.

Conclusion.
None of those GPUs are good enough for that resolution in a single GPU configuration.

Why couldn't the 690 run it?
And are the 680 and the 7970 really that weak at that resolution?

Are these gaming developers getting a backhander of Amd and Nvidia ? A lot of us out there have got a decent card!

Pushing us to sli and cf ? I wont weaken - yeah it is 5760 x 1080 i suppose. rolleyes.gif

If you read the article it states that the 690 "Crashed" (My guess is a driver problem)

At 2560x1440 with everything in Very high and max AA i get around 20FPS on my 670, it just isn't playable.

Then you have 5760x1080 thumb.gif

I fixed your thread title ... in the future, please title your threads with something that's actually pertinent to the content, not just "Umm ... What?"

Apparently this is the main cause of the low FPS, without this it would still be a very demanding game anyway.

Well that's odd. I believe 8x AA is to blame. If you're sane, you'll run it at most 4x, and you're still pushing it.

In the large arenas I get 35-40fps in eyefinity @ 5760x1080.

Pretty damn dissapointing it has to be said!

3570k @ 4.7GHz, SLI GTX 670s running an in game OC of 1254/1228 and +300 on memory at a resolution of 5760x1080. Airport map only, crash only, latest drivers posted today, motion blur off.

Max everything and 8x msaa was terrible, obviously. I think the average was like 20fps.

Then I went and tried it by bumping down from Very High (max) to High. Kept 16x anisotropic filtering. Used FXAA. Was very much playable.

If I max it, I get a solid 1-2 FPS.

Having to run on Medium with 2XMSAA to acheive 30FPS @ this resolution.

Bring on the driver enhancements!

Wow, Ya'all have to think, you gain higher fps on lower res, or lower sets obviously... 5760x1080 (6220800 pixels) , vs 1920x1080, (2073600 pixels). Think about how much has to be lined up, occuring from each and every singular object continually. Put it all together and... surprisingly you'll see that obviously, triple the res, triple the work load. The driver updates might only help slightly over time for optimization. But in reality they're throwing so much more into it, that basically you need triple/quad sli as a minimum to appreciate the full range of 5760x1080....

Face it, we all have to buy 2 pc's, teather them together, and voila, we can now run crysis... lol...

I'll bet it's a lack of memory. 690 has 2gb memory. I've saw some mem benchmarks showing crysis 3 blowing through the 2gb mark. But that still should cause it to crash.............. or would it? I sort of figured this would be an issue so my 680 has 4gb. I would like to see a benchmark with two 4gb 680s overclocked.
