Overclocked 3770k but not on turbo all the time, how to do that?

Thread Starter
Well, I finished testing my 3770k at 4.5ghz and now working on 4.7ghz but after i'm done testing, i think i would like to have it overclocked but I don't need it on Turbo 24/7 all the time, i would like to have 4.5-4.7ghz only in turbo mode, when it's really required for heavy tasks.

How do I do that?

And set the Windows Power Plan to Balanced if you don't want CPU-Z to show the CPU at 4.7 all the time (even if it isn't).

Will try that tomorrow, when i'll get my hands on that setup.

I don't care what CPU-Z will show smile.gif if there is some other software that will show the correct . Is there one?

Well, it was overnight tests, like 13 hours and such. I was using "In-place large FFTs" testing.
I was doing 3 of such overnight tests as I was trying different voltages
