I'd say so. My 2600k running at 4.6ghz on 1.4v would get up to 75C with the Gaia, which I think is decent.

I used this Heatsink for 2 years and had no problems. Since it doesn't include a rebate it is ok. I got mine for $5 on Black Friday years ago, but it took Xigmatek 11 months and lots of emails and phone calls to get my rebate. I'll never buy Xigmatek again due to that. Hardware wise the Heatsink is good though.

Actually I believe one of the guys from Xigmatek said it is the same thing as the H212+. Cooler Master and Xigmatek do not manufacturer these, they are made for them and their name is put on them.

When I compared the H212 to the Gaia side by side, they were pretty much identical to one another. The fan mounting was different on the Gaia, with the rubber mounts, but the HS itself was the same. The performance of both was the same as well...

The specs say the Gaia is 160mm and the 212+ is 170mm. Also I think the Gaia is Cross Flow orientation on AMD boards whereas the 212+ isn't.

Definitely not. My old H212+ sink is right next to me and it's a perfect box of fins, this one is almost like an X.

Also according to Toms Hardware the Gaia leaves small crevices between the heat pipes and the base in order to provide more surface area for the TIM to cover. This helps with heat latency.

I am glad so many of you found my post useful!
I actually ordered a second one for myself for whatever the next build is.
The price is right.

Got mine 2 years ago for $20 on a similar deal. I am satisfied with the performance even with my overclock. During torture tests I've seen temps go up to 78C but in real-world performance even while doing CPU-intensive tasks I've never seen temps higher than 68-70C.

My only regret about this cooler is that the tops of the heat pipes aren't silver to match the rest (me and my OCD).

Installed it today and it dropped my temps by 10-15C. Haven't overclocked yet, but I'm sure it can handle it.

FX-6300 (stock settings)

OCCT temps after 10 minutes

Stock cooler: 52C
Xigmatek: 36C
