PSU should be more than fine, and I meant you should try reinstalling your os now especially that youve messed with drivers, just go for a clean install of everything.

I don't have the patience for something like that. I have way to much to reinstall to bother doing an OS reinstall more than once every year / every second year. I doubt that it has anything to do with the registry due to it not being present the days before, as the registry is the same today as it was yesterday.
