Its a ga-870-ud3 board with a 212 evo cooler ive got it stable at 3.8 (19x200) 1.45v with nb at 2200 (1.2v) and ht 2200. Im looking to hit the 4.0ghz but its becoming unstable blue screen error code (124) more volts i know but should i bump the volts on the nb core and the sb core also? because there at stock. Im missing something not sure what it is tho.. could use a hand here, thanks

ello mate when i had this chip i couldnt get it past 3.9ghz with hyper 212 evo dual fan. so did the person who give it to me (even on a watercooled setup) so maybe they hit the barrier there i dunno but apparently the c3 is the best to "OC" but i havent seen them past 3.9.

try 1.504v cpu and 1.32v cpu/nb..
Orr,try dropping the ram divider and overclocking the fsb to 268 x15 instead of relying on the multiplier.

I can get my B55 (555 unlocked X4) to 3.8 @ 1.356, but with load it goes up to 1.4

I had to bump my volts up to 1.5 to get 3.9 Stable, and it just wasn't worth it to me... Some people can get a Phenom II past 4 but thats luck of the draw for chips potential and takes a lot of work usually. I find most Phenom II chips can hit 3.8 at least, getting past 3.9 - 4 can be an issue though.

well i just run amd's auto clock and this what i got 19.5x206 at 1.50volts. this is the first time ive ever got 4ghz running the amd's auto usally it would crash before hand now im thinking its based on temps. on that run it went no higher then 47c which was a first aswell most of the time it hit 50+. Does this mean i can finally be apart of the 4ghz team

Just leave it at 3.8, .2 increase isn't worth the extra heat and volts that you are pushing through your cpu.

He went from 1.45v to 1.5, thats a 0.05v increase and not too bad. As long as the heat in under control its fine, just on the high end. If your bottlenecked at 3.6-3.8, then pushing it for 4 wouldn't hurt. But you HAVE to make sure the temps are under control.

Gotta have moar megahertz, bro. But really, I don't think he's going to give up after getting this far. 4Ghz is just such an attractive number to hit. I wish my Phenom 2 could come anywhere close, but I think it walled at 3.8 (thing needed water to even run at that, dang C2 stepping).

well ive done some more testing and it crashes running prime 95 blend So what i did was lower the volts back to 1.45 and put the muti to 20 and played some games with no crashes. Whats nice with running at 4 is i get to see my gpu usages at 99 percent instead of 98 running crysis 3 now dont get me wrong it does drop low at times. but you can see a difference in performance with just a 200 bump

Highest mine is stable at is 3.9 lol and it's a C3, but if you look in the 9xx Deneb owner's club you will see many users at 4.
