myself i need an upgrade like yesterday cause of my video stuff the phenom powerring these 5 monitors just isnt cutting it so i've settled for i7-3770k. a lot of ppl have tried talking to me into ust getting the i5/sandy but since i need almost everything new i might as well get the latest and the greatest. i cant do the haswell cause it'll be too expensive. i'd rather settle for a used i7, motherboard and ddr3. haswell'll probably only make sense to work with ddr4 and i dont have that kind of money.
so im out there looking for an i7 3770k, motherboard and memory. i want to get it from someone ditching 1155 for different architecture or someone that needs money quick. not looking to get it from someone tryijng to make money. i'm broke rofl.
You sure the problem is the cpu? Isn't multi-monitors like that a GPU issue?
i7 is kind of a waste of money, but if you are going to put money anywhere and you already got a good ssd, and gpu, as you clearly do, i mean that would probably be the 4th best place to put it. You could get an i5 and pocket the money so you can sell your i5 + pocket cash for haswell. Or just sell your i7 for haswell. Computer components are like stock, cash, i mean as long as you buy it at the right price you should easily be able to sell it off for what you paid for it. You want to try out a different cpu? Just sell yours and buy a new one. 1 week later, do it again, whatever. The only reason I got my i7 was because of a weird loophole and I basically paid $20 more for my i7 over an i5, so to me it was more an investment than I needed the power. Really i was happy and content with my athlon ii x3 a few months ago, i just like building computers so i make, list on craigslist, pocket a bit of the money and get an upgrade....
I dont think haswell has ddr4? Ddr4 is kind of a long ways away :X
