mother of god this thing has some coil whine. I feel like im at the world cup.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

but yeah, as far as overclocking, this thing is a monster, 1200/1700 on stock voltages and im just getting started. also got a 8350fx when i bought this, gonna try to push it as far as i can lol.

nice man smile.gif))) yes the card is a beast, i still havent dared to OC it i dont know about OCing video cards the dos and donts and how to level out core mhz and memory mhz

YES i cracked the fork up when i read BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZZZ lolllllllll

mine was like i had a rattlesnake in my computer smile.gif please pm me some details about how you OC and why!! id appreciate it much

do u ever use iTurbo to overclock?

what about some guides to voltage / clock settings or is there only 2 settings i should be altering ? smile.gif i dont want to blow my card because i overvolted it or anything like that at this point im fine running stock

i havent left card running full workload but ive been running 12 windowed games that is giving it a small whine to see if that dissapears

if it doesnt im going to leave diablo or battlefield in main screen on maximum settings unless you guys have another game that should hit the card hard smile.gif

even the silent coil whine is annnnnnnnnnoying, makes me want a lower performance card because my watercooled computer is getting rattlesnaked by a "high end" card

Run Trixx after MSI AFtreburner starts up. Overlock with trixx. In the "settings" tab locate the "disable ULPS" , make sure that is ✔. You should easily bea able to do 1125/1575 in Trixx with NO voltage change. If you see any artifacts/blocking bump the voltage to 1200 (VDDC).

This is my current Overclock for Crysis 3:

what does DISABLE ULPS do and can i OC on msi without that?

seems i can do 1125/1575 since its my cards max np with no voltage increase smile.gif i put power consumption to 20% ( this wont harm cards life span and will just consume more power on my current OC right?)

Ty for posting man smile.gif i always appreciate ppl who help

ULPS is "Ultra Low Power State, and it can mess up an overclocks stability and is recommended to disable. It doesn't hurt your system and you will still downlock and undervolt -- when idle.

No. If your temps are good your card will become obsolete before it gets to the point of dying. These IceQ cards tend to stay under 66C even under insane clocks, they are good cards.thumb.gif
