i have the Gigabyte 990FXA UD5 board so that is one of the best board if not the best you can buy today for AMD so i try to get lower voltage i hope it will succeed LOL

also not all chips are the same indeed but i am stable at 5ghz now on 1.536 so that is pretty good i guess also i have the voltage of the NB the same and i have a Fan on my VRM's just to be sure.
also u can see my performance at my signature and i think it is pretty awesome smile.gif

hmmmm what did u use to stress that 5ghz rolleyes.gif

in my experience i find it the best to test it with high performance games like crysis3 if it is stable at that game it is pretty stable in anything because when do u use the CPU at it max? i sure never do only in gaming it is getting a workout an most games it does not even break a swet

also the one says that is the best and one other said the other is the best to stress test it.
so it is confusing who is the best stresstester.

why u ask?

ye you are right

i am still testing on my settings because i am never satisfied biggrin.gif

i am not happy with my cooler and i think i will go for custom loop some day.

also my NB is getting hot so i need some better cooling solution for it , i have a fan blowing on it and its great but i want something else that cools it better than the heat sink from the mobo.

but i don't think there is a nice blue other cooler for it so im stuck with that fan i guess.

Hey no problem man, any time! In looking at your rig and score, it reminded me that I should update my 3DMark score as well. I don't remember which brute force OC I had recorded my old one with, but this OC should do much better (I HOPE!), so thanks for inadvertently reminding me to update this! smile.gif

Hey guys, I have problems with my 8350 temps too. It runs at stock voltage and settings. I decided to use my old cooler from my Phenom II x4 which is this cooler http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/cpu/15/alpine-64-pro-rev.2.html I thought its pretty decent compared to the stock 8350 cooler but my temps are going way high. When I am playing something the temp is usually 77c and yesterday when I was rendering a vid it went 81c. This scared the crap outta me I am telling you. I really don't want to break this CPU because I love it so far. Do you suggest to put on the stock cooler?

I will buy a better cooler like Noctua or something, down the road for sure but I can't spare any money right now so I have to go with what I have at the moment.

I am afraid of those temps because my Phenom II (925) never went above 60c at 100% load with the Alpine 64 and now the 8350 is reaching 80 degree C... jeez... :X
