need help on what a should do?

Thread Starter
my computer has just became 6 months old, and i want to overclock my 2500k to 4.5 not anything higher, just has to be higher than 4 ghz. as i was running prime 95 the temps reached 77c within 5 min and sorda stayed around that temp. i have installed the stock intel fan that came with my 2500k. will a cooler master evo 212 fan be enough to over clock my system to the 4.5 mark without my temps at 100% pass 60-65????? HELP

my specs are

cooler master haf 932 advance with all the fans it comes with
intel 2500k at 3.3 with stock fan
msi 660ti PE edition
corsair vengance 8gb ram (the blue ones)
an ssd and hdd
550w power supply
ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

thanks in advance

The hyper 212+ will be more than enough for a 2500K at 4.5GHz, that is as long as it doesn't take too much voltage.

Do a Hyper 212 EVO in push/pull and you will be good.

Voltage varies from one CPU to another. Try visiting this club to read more info how to overclock your CPU using your ASUS mobo http://www.overclock.net/t/1012874/the-official-asus-p8p67-p8z68-p8z68-gen3-series-owners-club

I'd like to second that.

The EVO has a better base than the 212+

I love my Hyper 212 EVO - great value - great performance for price.

Reasonable to expect around 4.5ish at comfortable settings most reccomend here: <1.35v and < 85c.

Where on our big blue marble do you live?
Reason I ask is in America 212 are good deal but there are others just as good and as cheap. In other parts of the world 212 is not as good a deal as there are others better and cheaper.
