Hi everyone,

My english is not that good but i give it a try.

My setup:

* Asrock G41M -VS3 R2.0
* Intel Q9450
* 4 GB DDR3 KVR
* OCZ StealthXtream 500W
* Club 3D HD 7870 XT JokerCard

( edit )

* Seagate 1 TB HDD
* Windows 7 Ultimate X64

The problem,

When playing games there will be no problems at all when i use/moving my mouse,
but when i'm not using my mouse ( for about 5 seconds ) , with a benchmark or even on desktop with no other applications running the temperature runs up to 70 degrees with a 40 - 50 % fan speed. I guess thats not usual and i think its software related. When not using the PC my wife goes crazy and ask me to shut the PC down.. thats frustrating...lol

In the register i allready disabled the ULPS.

Anymore suggestions?

Sometimes a dodgy svchost.exe can cause this gpu spike.

A windows reinstall should fix it.

PS: run a virus scan. just in case

This fresh install was after the problem started?

Edit: If the fresh install was before the problem started, then you should try a windows re-install.
