Only problem is incorrect voltage, which can be modified in configuration file.

And I am talking about power limit, which KGB will modify exactly the same on GK106 or GK104 card ( it will increase max 150% )

I can do the same with kepler tweaker, and my card still won't boost properly without modifing default power target

Oh, iRandomize has lots of ideas on what he is talking about.

Look, I am trying to help people not having success with KGB tool, especially if used on GK106 cards.

Increasing default power limit, instead of maximum, has proven to be much more effective.

I am not 100% sure about GK104 cards, since I haven't tested it yet properly.

Why dont you write something helpful, like providing your own results on this subject, instead of just trying to argue

Go to the original thread, and watch my posts tongue.gif This is a well known fact by.... everyone!

I'm not sure why there's such a negative atmosphere here.. if this helps 660 owners (and possibly 670 PE owners who we know have issues) then by all means, it should be shared and tried.

Afterwards proper conclusion can be gotten. At the moment it's like - exactly the same as in the original thread - where people who've gleamed the information from others and have themselves made assumptions that have ended up being wrong now state that it's "easy" and common knowledge etc etc.

BTW: I am not thinking anyone in particular, it's a generalisation.

It does not help the 670PE. The BIOS is just broken frown.gif (yes, i did try). The only fix at this point of time, is the Gigabyte BIOS

I don't really mind him posting his findings, but claiming that KGB is malfunctioning i find a bit bold :S

(BTW: sure wink.gif )

That made me negatively react to. The original title of this thread was along the lines: do not use KGB editor!

Hi fellas!

I developed KGB originally as a tool for myself. However as people were swamping me to mod their bios, I figured I would just release the tool for others to use.

As far as KGB working at it's best It relies on the community to provide me feedback. So if you have figured anything new out, or someway to make the mods work better please let me know directly.

As far as the power limits, (base gpu power/max gpu power, total card power etc.) I did play around with them quite a bit, however I do not have one of every card out there, so again I have to rely on the community to provide feedback. I did have a lot of PE owners say they were having trouble, one PE owner I modded his bios by hand and raised all the possible power levels, he reported back as It still did not help so I left it be.

My 660s do throttle and have been scratching my head to figure it out.
I'll try what the OP has said. But KGB got me this far and I'm happy with that.
