Quick question regarding simple fan controller and amount of fans.

Hi guys,

I have a quick question. Since I am not a big fan of 5.25" fan controllers (or bay fan controllers in general), I decided to get several of these simple fan controllers. Which I can hide out of view in my case.

Since I am no expert on electrical amps and voltages, I was wondering how many of these fans I can hook up to a single fan controller (the one mentioned above).

If I would be guessing I can connect several fans to one of those fan controllers. Right?
Because:

If I am not mistaken; I can safely hook up at least 4 of those fans without problems (or electrical issues), right?

And, probably a stupid question, if I set the fan controller to 7v or 9v, it will give all fans, which are connected to the controller, the same voltage and as a result all 4 fans will run at the same RPM, correct?

Sorry if my questions sound stupid, but I just want to make sure, before I start fooling around.

I also have an off-topic question regarding wire (AWG) requirements. I ordered several LEDs and each LED will be soldered to individual wires. Would 24 AWG be sufficient for this? Or should I go for a thicker wire (e.g. 22 AWG)?

Can someone please answer my questions regarding those simple fan controllers and the power needed by the fans? Thank you.

On a sidenote; apparently 24AWG is sufficient for the LED's I am using. So that question doesn't require answering anymore.

I would say that 4 fans SHOULD be fine, but during startup the fans consume significantly more voltage which can cause issues. I would play it safe and try 2 fans, then 3, then 4.

Uhm, sorry for the lame question, but why should it use more voltage at startup?
...I would have guessed that it would use more voltage, after it was started up?

And will all fans on the controller (2, 3 or 4 fans) run at the same speed / rpm?

It just works that way. There is a small voltage spike at the start to get motors going.
