Thread Starter
I'm going to upgrade my currant computer and I'm torn on which video card to buy. I have read so many reviews about the positives and the negatives put I can't choose. I mainly play Skyrim with tons of mods, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and The Sims 3 and I want to play games that are coming out in the future on max settings. Right now I have a HIS 6870 and I want to move up.

Upgrade Computer
CPU - i7 3930k I know this is over doing it but I want the raw power and I plan to do more cpu intensive projects in the future,
Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Gene
Ram - Corsair Vengeance 16gb
SSD - Crucial M4 64gb and 128gb
HDD - WD 1gb
Case - Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition
Power Supply - Rocketfish 700watt I have this in 3 computer and it works great

Video Card:
MSI R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC

HIS IceQ 7950 Radeon HD 7950
or

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 7950 3GB

What is the best card for reliability and power and if you have any suggestion it would be appreciated!!!smile.gif

This : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414

Its the cheapest one, plus its clocked the highest among non-reference 7950s. It also has one of the best coolers out there. Its the best 7950 whichever way you slice it.

Hope this helps! thumb.gif

My Vapor-X stays ridiculously cool, even OC'd 1200/1500. I chose it because of the fact that, even though it's custom, it uses a board designed to handle power delivery for a 7970.

I voted Vapor-X. Overclocks nicely and stays pretty darned cool for being the top card in my crossfire setup. Stays around 61c when playing bf3/crysis3.

HIS IceQ x2 is quieter and more powerful than any of the cards above smile.gif

smile.gif his also are the cards supposedly to have reached the highest clocks in OC

i own a gigabyte and i think it is fairing well reaching 1255/1700 in valley and 1230/1750 in heaven but i must say that MSI is the best oc'er . . .

Owned by Kamz

zGunBLADEz also owns a MSI that reaches 1400 on the core according to him. the cooling solution helps.

Take that JrWhopper:D

All of those are good, however they dont make MSI TFIII-cards on HD7970 PCB anymore and the cooler is the worst out of the three so those things kinda make it less appealing, MSI 7970 pcb cards overclock like mad but they really need to watercooled if you want to hit extreme clocks smile.gif

Cant go wrong with any of them (Gigabyte is very good too), but I would probably pick Sapphire or HIS.
