Asus p8z77-v pro RAM issue

Hello everyone. Can somebody please help me with the problem i'm facing as it's driving me nuts? I recently updated to a new pc This is my config:

Motherboard : P8Z77-V PRO BIOS 1805
CPU: Intel Core i5 3750K 3.40GHz
Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
RAM: Samsung Green M379B5273DH0-YK0 (4 x 4GB) (4 slots)
Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro FX 580
Samsung 840 pro SSD 128GB
Operating System : Windows 7 64bit

What happens is that the system and BIOS see only 8GB out of the 16GB Samsung ram i have installed. I have run memtest on each stick and they are all ok. I have installed them on another rig, and they work fine. I tried every possible combination of slots, but the motherboard only reads 2 sticks. All slots work just fine, but as soon as i install more than 8 GB on the system, it just doesn't read them. CPUZ shows the full 16GB, so does the Bios if i go to the individual slot readings. It shows all 4 slots with 4GB of memory:

1) Memok doesn't help at all
2) I've cleared the CMOS and removed the baterry several times, but no luck
3) I checked the pressure on the cpu from the Hyper 212 EVO....it's not tight
4) I don't have any bent pins....i checked thoroughly
5) All ram sticks are 100% healthy....memtest etc confirmed
6) All slots work....if i put the cards in dual mode in slots A2B2 it shows 8GB, same for A1B1, same for A1A2, same for B1B2

Can you suggest me a solution? Did i receive a DOA motherboard?

By default all P8Z77's put the memory at ECC enable Im not sure why they do this, I always have to Disable that section in the memory section.

See if that helps any

Also just a FYI make sure the Voltage is at 1.50, Ivy Bridge needs 1.5v ram, It wont hurt the memory its made to run at that voltage.

1.35v RAM is only supported on the Ivy Bridge Mobile platform

I've been looking in the bios for the past hour now, but the ecc feature is nowhere to be found. what do i need to change to reflect this?

I am sorry if i sound like a noob. I am smile.gif

Ok sorry that feature isnt on the Intel motherboards I was thinking of the ASUS AMD BIOS, sorry

Just make sure the volts are at 1.50v

Make sure you cleared CMOS after the BIOS update too, unplug the power cord wait 5min then CLR CMOS

Once back in Load Optimized Defaults, then re-set up the BIOS

I am using windows 7 Ultimate x64, so this is not the reason i am afraid. Asus just told me that Samsung Green Ram is not compatible with p8z77-v pro?? I ve seen this ram being used by countless users of this motherboard with great success. Anything else you might think so?

It's not only windows showing me 8GB.....the BIOS shows me 8GB too. frown.gif

Thanks for the help guys
