LOW 3570k@4.4 Physics Score

Thread Starter
Hello fellow overclockers! I recently overclock my 3570k processor to 4.4 GHz yesterday and ran the 3dmark 11 benchmark. Unfortunately I don't think my cpu is getting the 4.4 ghz performance despite what my clock says on CPu-Z.

Im getting a physics score of just 7800 overclocked at 4.4. That score should easily be up another 1000 points from what I have seen from here?

Anyone know what could be the problem? Not enough power to cpu? Settings in my bios?

Specs:

CPU-I5-3570k
GPU- GTX680
RAM- Crucial@1600
SSD- Samsung410
MOBO- Asrock z77 extreme 4

I know this link is for the 2500k but it's the same principle. Take a look at the thread, it may help you sort out your problem.

3dmark11 and maybe other 3dmarks have lower physics score in windows 8 compared to windows 7 or vista. I lost 500 points on the exact same system after upgrading from vista to windows 8.
