Ok to start ill run you through the problem,

10-20 minutes of on time makes the corners fade to black
distorts the pixelation
sound works
no clicking
no damage.
GND 5 pin slot on the MB is empty...

ok now to what i've done:
Checked the interior its nots damaged
checked the capacitors their fine*
made sure it has room to breath (also put it under the fan)

Still the same problem...

i just payed 200$ for this of a con man so i'd preffer to learn how to fix this problem for future refference as well.

It could be a few things. The easiest way to trouble shoot newer TVs is to hook them to a diagnostic computer. Have you tried doing a Google search for the problem. Who knows, maybe someone had the same problem and posted a fix. Most of the components are on the main board though. Sounds like a bad cap somewhere not holding a charge, or a bad power switching IC. I would check on a main board price first to see if its worth fixing.

Remember that the IC and capacitor work the same as transistor PSUs did in solid state TVs. Could be a combination thats not showing up on individual test points. Been a while since I have had to troubleshoot a boob tube, lol.
