You can also use transparency aa in the nvidia control panel to clean up the aliasing on stuff like vegetation and fences and the like. That usually comes at a pretty small performance hit and really makes a big difference with image quality in game.

MSAA alone doesn't take care of all aliasing.

From my understanding even with the inspector tweaks they are still slightly different from their AMD counterparts, I don't know for sure as I've never used it.

Doubt I'd see any difference what so ever, let alone enough to make it worth tweaking things in inspector...but like I said, I rarely use AA because I never really see the differences unless I am specifically looking for it.

Like I said they are different forms of SSAA.

Thats odd, I find anti-aliasing to be one of the more noticeable settings in most games. You really don't notice the trees shimmering in Crysis?

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the link +rep

Yeah, I have yet to ever really notice AA of any kind making a difference. I don't play crysis... I find it to be incredibly dull as far as story goes.

For me, 60fps CAP is unplayable, it may sound ridiculous lol, but after i got my 120hz monitor, it changed what i call "playable". Even though my system can run a game fine at constant 60fps with MAX AA, i still turn down AA just so i can get up to 90-120 fps, the difference is magical biggrin.gif..... and 30-40fps just hurts my soul lol

Makes sense...

only grab the titan if you plan to sli it down the road. Thats my game plan this summer coming from a 670. Yes 680s are petter performance, but with the titan I can always sli later and get amazing performance. for you, it really wouldn't be worth it since you already have the 680s and unless they are the 2gb versions then I would save the money for a 7xx when they get released.

I came to this sub forum to ask asimple question. Whether a 670/680 4gb can hooknup 1600p through all ports.. not necessarily all at once.

The intensity of this thread a was incredible. I didnt think gaming serious like this lol.

Back before these nvidia cards were released didnt they say they were so powerful it was like running 3-5 cards of the older gen high end cards? Wif thats the case why would it be necessay to sli a titan? Sli-ing a $1, 000 card sounds ridiculous to me lol. Just to play some lmae as game on high settings lol.

Some people actually have the money to spend... you know. It's not a big deal for them.

Some others... well, when you're spending your life savings, that is a little but insane IMO.

i agree. why did i buy it? because i sold both my 7950's for almost as much as i bought it and i checked and i haven't bought anything for myself since i started my new job. was it worth putting in $600 more? yes it was.

i don't get why people bash on each other though.

its like saying, don't buy a ferrari because you can buy a honda and if you supercharge it and add NOS it'll be faster. people will spend their own hard earned money on what they want... doesn't mean we agree that its cost effective. but i sure would buy a ferrari if i had the money to throw away.

You see what you said there? That's what people are saying on and on, you're basically throwing money away... And why the argument gets heated up is because, when other people are trying to let another person looking for advice know that he will "throw his money away". You guys that threw your money away at the titan will come here saying it's worth the cash just to justify your purchase... NO.. it's not worth it and i bet you guys with single Titan definitely have buyers remorse tongue.gif, that's why as soon as you buy one, you get the "itch" to get another one = 2200$. rolleyes.gif

I could care less what anyone does with their money. The titan is a powerful card, sure, it runs every game out there on max, sure, but don't say it's worth 1100$ for it's performance, you know you're lying to yourself...

I honestly don't get that remark at all.

How is he throwing his money away though if it's something he wanted? It's not all about raw performance numbers. I just wish it was available earlier.
