There you go.

I wasn't sure that the STX had an amp, but now I know.

Not only does it have an amp, but you can also change out the op amps to fit your taste. thumb.gif

Hmm I think I may order the STX sound card today after work. Never spent more than 80$ on a soundcard so I am curious how much of a difference I will notice. Basically right now I'm using onboard sound and have been for about a month now and it sounds pretty good since my ears are used to it.

Pretty excited to see what it can do! I get nervous about messing with settings too much tho because I feel like I might loose the original sound design. I think with my creative X-Fi Titanium I had 65% Crystallizer which I LOVED, had the simulated surround (CMSS 3D or something) off and I think everything else either off or on default.

The Xonar has Dolby Headphone as well as the option to change how many channels are played. I originally had Dolby on and 8 channels. It sounded great, but I realized that I preferred the sound as 2 channel stereo with Dolby off. The only options I have on are the EQ slightly, Smart Volume, and the headphone amp (I think).
