if people keep thinking that FPS and war sim is in the same genre, then yes it's exactly like that... what do you bring to a war sim from a FPS? twitch skills. that's pretty much it. maybe some sharp eyes and some situational awareness, but to adjust those "skills" for a map as large and as diverse as ARMA will take a whole new set of skills. heck people playing CoD/BF might get vertigo from playing ARMA because the screen is NOT constantly
shaking and blinded out by dirt/blood...
how hard is it to make a 1000m shot from BF? does 1000m shot even EXIST in CoD?
try landing a 1500m shot in ARMA on a MOVING target then you'll understand the difference and why "growing out of FPS genre" is an applicable term.
