Battle Royale keeps me busy hour after hour. This game mode is just such fun!

To bad that by only playing this game mode i miss out on most aspects of the game:D

ok... so i've been playing arma3 for about a week now, and just for giggles, i decided to try the campaign. historically, BIS has REALLY crappy campaigns and it's not uncommon to hear "if you are playing arma campaign, then you are playing it wrong" biggrin.gif but historically i've always tried to stomach it at least once just for OCD satisfiction...

BUT... props to whoever designed the ARMA3 campaign smile.gif i find it very well written and "up to par" with other historically MUCH more story oriented offerings from bioware or crytek. i was almost getting some "mass effect" vibes from it with how the story is written. the ability to complete some of the missions with vastly different outcomes just makes the whole "sandboxy" approach feel that much more satisfactory smile.gif for example, most people don't realize you can "win" some of the "no win" battles scripted (adapt > supply network for example you can go around to each armored group on the map and take them out before turning in the supply truck to trigger the attack on your base tongue.gif ) for the most part, most people forgot ARMA stands for ARMORED Assault smile.gif meaning you are supposed to try and commandeer your enemy's ARMOR and hit them with it biggrin.gif the "bingo fuel" mission for example was EXTREMELY easy to complete BOTH falcon and slingshot objectives when you are sporting a MBT52 Kuma and a pair of ifrits that the 1st town kindly supplied you with after you destroyed its tires/tracks biggrin.gif the key is to locating that repair truck they had hidden behind the mountain tongue.gif unfortunately, the game does NOT save the chopper you commandeered during the mission to use for your side missions devil-smiley-019.gif

it's unfortunate that BIS had such a poor reputation for campaign design and as such there are VERY few "lets play" on the ARMA3 campaign that showcased different ways of completing each mission and side missions. almost motivates me to do a whole "alternative outcomes" series on the ARMA3 campaign showing how the thing can be completed with tanks and attack choppers working on YOUR side biggrin.gif (and no, no cheating involved. just disabling them, and fixing/refueling them afterward like how you are supposed to play it) I suppose most of the alternative game play comes from my old ARMA2 wasteland days where i was a sapper tongue.gif

unfortunately, as with tradition, the bug list keeps the game from really shine through and MUCH research on the net is required to get some of the must BASIC functions such as the new stances working (just google keyAdjust[]={29} ARMA 3 if you don't know what i'm talking about ) contemplating on downloading the dev branch and just play that instead since the vanilla branch hasn't had too many of the bugs patched yet.

anyway, time to go back and see if my OCD can discover some more "repair trucks" around the maps so i can revive a few more kuma's and kajman's for our cause biggrin.gif

Same here and I agree! It looks freakin AMAZING in 4k and I'm still pulling 40fps with everything maxed out. The extra detail is insane, it's almost too much to look at.

Yep: restircts your movements whilst prone, but thats realistic.

And it makes your fire much more accurate from what I have seen so far.

one thing i really don't like about the new bipod deployment is if you are on uneven surface. you either aim way too high, or way too low with bipod deployed. they really should have the engine do additional tessellation of the floor surface that you are on so the bipod doesn't either stare up into the sky or look straight down into the grass when you are trying to make that 1k+ meter shot....

are you guys playing it in multiplayer or single player? I am interested in buying Arma 3, but afraid that its mostly single player, and for multiplayer you have to have friends to play to make it fun frown.gif
