Today's best free Anti Virus/Spyware? - Page 3

I wouldn't use free AV products for 2 reasons. First, they're the most used products out there. Malware creators aren't stupid and are always 1 step ahead. A bigger user base equals a more attractive target. Second, free AV products lack behavioral detection (or have it and it's worthless).

Check out AV Comparatives, they have some good tests.

I recommend you try Unthreat Antivirus, it's a free antivirus and I think it works really great. It doesn't slow down my computer which can't be said about a lot of antiviruses and it's really easy to use.

yes MS Security Essentials is auxiliary to MS defender.

Easy there mate, we're talking about the human race here. Common sense has never been one of it's strongest points.

I use to use AVG, then switched to Avast like forever ago. Love it.

My dad had a nasty "disk antivirus" virus/malware and I used malware bytes for the first time and was happy with the results.

Are you sure? I mean, I'm planning on changing my AV, so is it worth it?
