Thread Starter
Hey guys im currently doing a e6300 build. I'm going to run an asus p5b deluxe. I want to OC to at least 3ghz. I've recently found a good deal on some patriot extreme ram two sticks of this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220142 . Do you think this ram will suffice my needs? Or is there any other no more than 230$ that would be a better choice?? Thanks guys.

If that Patriot was LLK maybe but if you have a budget of $230? How about this: GeIL 2GB DDR2 800 for $219. One review says it works with the P5B Deluxe just fine.

They're only LL's . Im getting them for 215$ shipped. But you say just go for the geil instead?

If that RAM is capable of at least 450fsb? For the $215 is not a bad price then. Ask the owner if they can push 450fsb with CL 4-4-4-12, if so, then it's a good deal because with teh 450fsb, you'll be capable of pushing that E6300 to 3.0ghz easy.

And If I had an E6300, I wouldn't be running no less than 3.0ghz.

Well he managed to clock it at 475mhz.

But I think it was at a ratio of 3:5 and his clocks were 5-6-6-18.
