Upgrading from HD 6950s to GTX 670's - Page 5

Now how would a 660 ti stand up in comparison to an HD 7950?
A 7950 will be the stronger card and have 3 gigs of ram, not 2. I think a 660ti is more like a 7870.

HD 7950 boost competes with GTX 670. on average overclocks of 1150 mhz you would match a HD 7970 Ghz and compete with GTX 670(1250 Mhz)

Enjoying so far running smooth !!! Just waiting for my second monitor to get here!!
Lots of misinformation in this thread ...
1) a 6950 is NOT half a 670/7950. Like a 7850 is not half a 670/7950 (same performance)
6950/7850 CF = more than a single 7970 even
2) At that res 3GB is necessary with the amount of power a 7970 CF can push out
3) Free games, why not? a 7970 the last time i checked is a whole 50$ cheaper than the 680 and has more VRAM and fatter memory bus.
4) CF issues? Wow, when? Not again. Dayum, here we go again
And yes, the only decent upgrade from 6950 CF is to 7950 CF
If he was running a CF config fine, why would you say SLI is better because it has no problems? Jeez. There's no guarantee SLI won't have problems because it has problems over multi-monitors and SLI on a single monitor even
Lastly, i am not a fanboy smile.gif
