Is this good?

Thread Starter
I have an old pc that I am going to rebuild, Strictly for gaming
I will have an i3, a 7850, 8gb ram, 500gb hdd, and a 64gb boot ssd
I have money for a a 7870 but i will need to skip the psu
I have this old LG 450w psu
Will it be enough?
Here is some images of it

You need a minimum of 300W to run that setup. With an overclock you will need around 350W. So that PSU is more than enough.(also in case you need more headroom)
It doesn't look like a good PSU though. I doubt it will output 450W let alone being stable. You should still be fine.
Upgrade when you can though smile.gif

Overclocked i3 and 7950 OCd will draw at least 400W. Its not in the safe zone(especially for a standard PSU like that). I wouldn't advice it.

Overclocked i3 and 7870 OCd is in the safe zone.

That looks like a 20-pin power connector. It's hard to see, so please double check. But if it's 20 pins it won't work.

No, an i3 (sandy/ivy) doesn't overclock to begin with, and it's a 60W CPU, a 7950 is a ~200W card in anything except synthetic benchmarks... the rest is irrelevant.

@OP, that PSU is ancient, it has a -5V rail which was removed from the ATX spec in 2003. Don't put that in a new PSU. wink.gif

Doesn't matter if it's 20p or 20+4p unless he'll put high 12V loads on the ATX 20/24p connector... which is not the case here.
