well i am going to get a

asus a8n-e
1 gig (512 x2) kingston valuram ddr4000 pc 3200
amd 3200 venice core

i was wondering what i might beable to get out of stock heatsink/fan and is there any program out there that i can download like speedfan to change the speed of the fan past the 100% like if its ar 3k at 100% is there a program i can set that fan to 150% so it goes 4500?

and what memory specs would u use with this combo i was thinking 2 2 2 2 11? fron what i have learned making it dual channel and 1:1 ratio if anything i said is bad or wrong jsut correct me im newer to this complicated part of oc'ing (used to changing just fsb)

also the ram is newer, processor brand new, board is oem but i have driver cd and all that otehr stuff but what would u guys think this is capable of? i was thinking maybe 3? i know of other 3200+ that get close to taht because the low voltage of the venice's and also christmas i might get an opti 165 so what do u believe that might hit? 3 also? or 2.8

No you can't push the fan past 100%. That's dangerous anyway. Dual channel is good it makes the ram more efficient and should be enabled. 1:1 ration means the ram will run at 200mhz (DDR=400mhz) which is the same speed as the fsb. The Venice 3200 is at 2000 mhz so that's 200*10 multiplier = 2000. By increasing the FSB by 10 (210 mhz) your CPU would be effective 2100mhz and ram at 210 (420 DDR). By NOT using a 1:1 ration you could possibly push your CPU further and keep your ram stable.

As for O'Clocking those parts, an Operton like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103598

is better for overclocking but pricier. Valuram isn't too good for overclocking as far as I know, that's what a divider is for, to keep the memory at a *close-to* 200mhz range while the CPU flies!!!

well, the fan is overvoltable...if you take the plack wire to your fan and jam it into the -5 or-12 rails on your PSU

Yes you can "OC" your fan lol. If you knew what you were doing with a soldering iron and a couple resistors that you mathematically found to be sufficient to get voltage where you wanted it. You could do it, but I wouldn't advise doing it unless you knew exactly what you were doing.

I took a circuits course and we learned how to do stuff like this, so I could do it, but I wouldn't want to take a chance on shorting something or making my motherboard unhappy. Better off just buying a fan rated at a high CFM...

o hey u guys think this is a good idea? i took the fan off of my agp nvidia ti300 its like a fan/heatsink it spins fast idk what 2-5k in that range hahah and i put it on my new pci video asus 6200tc card i can get away with hooking it up to i tried this for 2 reasons 1 fans/and heatsinks in combo work better so i replaced the massive heat sink with the fan like i said (size of north bridge fans 50mm? 60?) and reason 2 is that i can hook it up to the mobo so i can watch the speed and change the speed of it and also cool n Quiet will kick in when the whole pc is under load too

so do u guys think this is will work out? i mean the chip on the nvidia is smaller (asus) and the ti300 fan fits perfect with it ill take pics sometime of it but i just wanna also know the board has no power but what would i do to lengthen the wires? soilder new wire in? i mean like cut middle and soilder like 3 more inches to the wiring and so i can hook it up to the mobo or... should i use the power supply and hook it up to that somehow and keep it running with the 5volts constant and not having tweakability
