I need a mouse compatible with Artisan Raiden. - Page 5

Revel and fk2 have never spun out for me on a raiden mid (28cm/360°). Every Logitech 3360 mouse i tried spins out (303/403/Pro).

can you try lifting and putting down the FK2 fast on it?
that's what made it spin out a lot for me, just lifting it quickly and putting it down, while swiping.

You mean this, right?

yeah, it happened a LOT more on the Raiden than any other pad for me.

I use a Raiden for one year now, with the following mice, which all work PERFECTLY:

Logitech G900

Logitech G303

Steelseries Sensei (original, not RAW)

Steelseries Sensei Wireless

Steelseries Rival 700

In order of interest:

I am interested in knowing if there are spinouts with either of the zowie mice with super rapid back and forth and rapid back and forth with small circles or halfcircles mixed in (they are both 3090 so 1 of them should suffice).

I'm also curious about if either the WMO or IE 3.0 are spinoutless. I imagine if one them are, the other one is.

If any of the laser mice spin out too, that would be interesting information to have.

Thank you in advance if you want to test any of these.

Edit: I suppose testing Roccat EMP (3360) to get a feel for how the spinout is triggered before testing the others can be good to be sure one is doing the right movements.

I tested my wife's Roccat Kova (Pro-Optic R6 Sensor) today and just like my G900 and G502, it had spinouts at 400 DPI all the way to 2000 DPI and beyond on my Raiden mid (mid as in softness level, though I assume xsoft will have the exact same surface fabric, making them identical for spinout failure potential).

I'm sorry. I really didn't see your reply.

The EC2 and EC1 (both evo, the black a white ones) don't work at all with it for some reason, while the FK and AM work ok with it.

I removed the mouse feet from the ec2, and it reads the surface ok, but it doesn't with the mousefeet on. The cursor moves erratically tho. If you press the mouse down hard enough it starts to read the surface a bit better, but with long and 'rapid' movements it sort of bugs out.

The FK is the only Zowie mouse that for some reason works without issues with it. You can't mouse the mouse very fast, or it spins out. But other than that, it works great.

The AM, moves randomly from time to time on it. But overall it works great. Same as G400.

The Deathadder 3.5G works great too. But if you lift and place it down fast enough as Munchzilla said, the cursor sort of jumps randomly. You can't move it too fast tho. Same as FK.

Genius Maurus same as DA 3.5G.

IE 3.0, works ok, but spins out a lot if you move it too fast.

Roccat EMP works great on it. It bugs out with 'long and rapid' movements.

G9x, works super great on it.

m750, doesn't. it moves erratically.

Something I noticed, is that if you try to do a circle, it would make most mice spin out, except my laser mice.

I have other mice, but don't know where.

And I think it comes down to the lift off distance.

i played quake and ow with it quite competitively, i never could reproduce the issue. or at least it hasn't occured in the way i handle the mouse, i can't make the combination fk2-raiden spin out.

Had 2 optical mouse where I couldn't reproduce the spinout. Nixeus Revel as mentioned by an earlier poster. Thanks for the tip, this is going to be my main mouse now. Also EVGA Torq X5 (good idea but overall broken software (doesn't actually change dpi step settings when you do it), high smoothing final firmware version (and if you never update the firmware it can result in weird graphical stutters and scrolling action when you aren't scrolling), and it has been generally abandoned by EVGA... yet they still sell it.

Also, thanks for the many tests Senileoldman! Much appreciated.

EDIT: after playing a while, I think there is something that feels off with the Revel on Raiden.

Is your x5 the laser or optical version? My x5 optical barely work on the raiden at all, jitters like crazy and can start spinning at any time

Optical, 3988 sensor. Mine didn't jitter or spin. Strange. I guess its not a generally safe mouse to buy for the pad then. Some say their 3366 logitech mice work too but mine would spin out.
